Stansted's nearest market town
Bishop's Stortford is a market town on the River Stort, close to the Essex border and Stansted Airport. Its centre mixes shops, pubs and restaurants, and the Rhodes Arts Complex occupies the house where Cecil Rhodes was born. Bishop's Stortford station has trains to Liverpool Street and Cambridge, and the M11 is a few minutes away. We collect from homes, the station and the town centre at any hour.
Stansted is only about 22 minutes from Bishop's Stortford on clear roads, the shortest airport run in this part of the county. Luton Airport is roughly 45 minutes, Heathrow around 59 and Gatwick close to 1h 10m. We track your flight, and delays are never charged.
Stansted runs are naturally the most common booking here, followed by station trips and journeys to Hertford or Harlow. If you need London by road, King's Cross is about 48 minutes on clear days, and Addenbrooke's in Cambridge is within reach too.
